Unless you're a bride-to-be, the northern end of Oxford Road in Mount Hawthorn is a dead zone, a long swathe of white lace, white chiffon and white silk. Personally, I drive through with my eyes firmly squeezed shut.
Thankfully, there's now a new colour in the mix: Yelo.
The new pocket-sized Yelo Kitchen may not have the same view as its big sister at Trigg Beach (or space, either - it seats just 8!) but you can find some of the same great food, Fiori coffee and friendly staff.
For being such a no-fuss, lunch-on-the-go type place you'd be surprised how many people hang back for a chat or change their minds and drink their take-away coffees on the milk crates lining the front of the shop. It's the kind of place that tempts you to stay a while.
Who else is willing to bet that the majority of patrons are shelter-seeking grooms-to-be? The poor souls.
Great: The welcome splash of sunshine on Oxford Street and the Jay-Z tunes Not so Great: The window-facing benchtop so narrow there's hardly space for a coffee
